Recording of Let's Talk COVID 19: The Vaccine

In partnership with Buncombe County Health and Human Services, Let’s Talk COVID-19; The Vaccine, is a two-part virtual town hall focused on holding space for the lived and historical experiences of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color seeking medical care in the United States.

In Part One, we connected with trusted voices from our community and explored the history of mistrust in the medical system by BIPOC communities and how that is influencing individual’s decisions regarding COVID-19. The panel offered insight and possible action steps that are vital to creating a culture of trust between the medical system and our communities of color.

In our second town hall, our panel of community experts, who are integral parts of the Vaccine journey right here in Buncombe Co., from pharmacists to community health care workers discussed several aspects of Vaccination and what that process looks like.

Below are recordings of the events in English, Spanish and ASL.
